Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ¼ tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. chili sauce
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- ½ C. chicken stock
- ¾ C. soy sauce
- 1/3 C. honey
- 3 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 1/3 C. brown sugar, packed
- 2 Tbsp. corn starch
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 steaks, trimmed and sliced thin OR 1 pkg fatina
- olive oil (for frying)
- salt and pepper for seasoning
- 1 head broccoli, steamed
Instructions
- Combine first 10 ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to boil
- Mix corn starch and water in small bowl, then whisk into sauce; return to boiling
- Reduce to simmer for 5-8 minutes
- season meat with salt and pepper
- heat pan on medium heat, add drizzle of olive oil
- fry meat 1-2 min. on each side until almost fully cooked (do not overcook)
- add meat to sauce and toss to coat
- Serve on a bed of rice
